Do you question if you're doing the right thing at the right time?
Creating a training plan for yourself can be tricky. Athletes tend to see what's right in front of their face whereas coaches help with a 10,000ft view. This is why I've had a coach for my entire athletic career, even though it's my field of expertise!
What goes into a structured training plan? It depends on the person, their goal, and the start point. We use subjective and objective metrics to measure how training creates improvements over time. Your feedback and communication are essential for adjustments and continuous progress.

How you receive training:
Training Peaks

Your training will arrive in structured blocks.
Every session has a specific purpose for your goal.
With a coach, your training stays on track if life changes.
Training sessions fit together like a puzzle.
Let a coach figure out where things go, so you can focus on executing.
How we communicate:

After each session, you will tell your coach how it went. How did you feel? How hard was the session? These little details matter a lot.
The objective data will transfer automatically via your speedcoach, oarlocks, erg, heart rate monitor, GPS watch, etc.
Comments for your coach are also very helpful. These are facts such as wind, temperature, and how you fueled the session. Also helpful is your mental state! If you felt ready to go, or not ready, or tired, etc. Let coach know, and that's how you receive the tools to improve your specific needs.
Other ways to communicate: Email, Text, Phone, and Video Call as needed.
